Currently serving junior members of the permanent RAN are eligible for a significant joining fee discount.
The discount applies to currently serving junior sailors up to and including the rank of Leading Seaman and currently serving junior officers up to and including the rank of Sub Lieutenant.
For 2026, the joining fee is only $75 in lieu of the normal $410 joining fee.
