Summer Membership is available under the same conditions as Ordinary Associate and Temporary membership. The spouses and children of Summer Members may join as Family Summer Members. Click here to download the summer membership application form.

Navy or ex Navy members applying for membership need only provide proof of service (copy of Service ID card or copy of discharge certificate). 

All other persons must be nominated and seconded by Ordinary Members of the Club.

Entitlements of Summer Members

Summer Members may use the Club facilities from the long weekend at the start of October (end of skiing season) until the start of the long weekend in June (start of the skiing season). During the summer period Summer Members have the same rights and responsibilities as Ordinary and Associate Members including the privilege of bringing guests to the lodges.

Certain weekends during the Summer are set aside for working parties at the lodges. Summer members are more than welcome to participate in working parties and help to maintain and improve the lodges.

Summer Members have no voting rights but are most welcome to attend and speak at Annual General Meetings.

Cost of Summer Membership

For 2008/9 the once only Joining Fee is $52 per Summer Member and the Annual Subscription is $21 per Summer Member and Family Summer Member.

Summer Members and Family Summer Members may use the lodges during the summer period at the Member's accommodation rate. Guests of Summer Members must pay the Guest rate.

Summer Members and Family Summer Members wishing to use the lodges during the ski season may do so but are required to pay the guest rate.

Summer Members who wish to change to Ordinary or Associate membership must pay the difference in the joining fee and the annual subscription.

Ordinary or Associate members who do not wish to ski anymore may change to Summer Membership but once this change has been made will not be permitted to change back to Ordinary or Associate membership without paying the full joining fee and annual subscription (in addition to what they may have already paid for Summer Membership).

 Summer Membership is intended for people who have no interest in skiing and is not to be used by members to gain short-term financial benefits by switching between systems. The Club relies on income from the annual subscription as an important ongoing component of the Club's financial viability.
